Week 7 - Consular

We've all seen Jedi Consulars but what IS a consular? The word consular is used commonly as an adjective pertaining to the word consul. A consular is NOT the same thing as a counselor.

From Twitter

    1. Consulars study the mysteries of the force and prefer to find peaceful solutions rather than draw their lightsabers.
    2. The consulars role in the Jedi Order was first recorded by Consular Jedi Seer Sabla-Mandibu.
    3. Consulars are not limited to a career in the Galactice Senate. May teachers, seers, and healers site alignment with the Consulars way of thinking.
    4. Though consulars prefer peaceful means of finding solutions, they are sensible and carry lightsabers - usually green.
    5. While Knights are known for more for their melee skills, consulars are able to focus their force powers on an enemy making it difficult to resist them.

    Week 6 - Devaronians

The devilish-looking companions of Bounty Hunters in The Old Republic and a frequent sight in many space ports. This week's lesson is about the Devaronian species.

    From Twitter

      1. This week's lesson is on Devaronians - one of the first species to take the stars. The bounty hunter's second companion is a Devaronian.
      2. Male Devaronians love to wander and explore and are away from their homes more than not. Females are fine with this since they view males as a disruption to the home.
      3. While male Devaronians are hairless, female Devaronians are covered in thick fur in a broad range of earth tones (brown to white).
      4. The planet Devaron is a world of low mountains and deep valleys all connected by thousands of rivers.
      5. Devaronese - the languages of Devaronias - is low, guttural and full of snarling consonants.

      Week 05 - Diatium

Diatium is a mineral used primarily in lightsabers. This lesson is on how to pronounce the word and information on it's uses.

      From Twitter:

      1. Since lightsabers rarely require recharging, we can safely assume that diatium power cells can store a large amount of energy.
      2. In a lightsaber, the diatium power cell is wired into the main crystal mount. The weapon's primary focusing crystal is affixed to the mount. The pommel cap and recharging port are attached straight to the power cell.
      3. Diatium power cells contain very concentrated amounts of a gas called trumponium that forms a plasma rod when heated. The weapon's beam is contained in an energy field that recycles energy back to the power cell.
      4. With the recycled energy going back into the power cell, the lightsaber rarely requires charging and only occasional replacement of the power cell.
